Attributes of the Best RPG Games
There are some attributes that are common between the best RPG games out there. Be it a PC role-playing game, a console-based role-playing game, or a pen and paper role-playing game, they share many elements that are same in all of these three that make them the best. These three attributes are – advancement, variety, and pay-off. Advancements is the ability of games in doing better, providing better gaming experience than the previous version of it. These advancements can be seen in a mechanical or statistical form as well. While playing, game should allow its player to advance their characters to become more powerful. The game should also introduce enough varieties to keep the player interested. For example, if it is a story-telling based game, the story-telling itself should contain enough varieties so that the game does not become dull and boring. Dull and boring RPG games become predictable and most of the times players quickly move on to something more stimulating and interesting. The best RPG game must reward or pay-off the payer for playing the game ten, twenty, or even over a hundred or more hours. The player should feel like there is a reason to stuck through the game.
